2008: A sound 2009
|
"The credit crunch does not stop the fourteen members of our staff to go skiing at the end of 2008. Sometimes crises are also necessary to bring about change. The credit crunch can put an end to obscure financial products, apparently offering fantastic benefits, but underemphasizing the risks. And perhaps this will also spell the end of the combination of bonus schemes and “golden parachutes” for CEO’s, resulting in excessive rewards when stock prices go up, and departures with often just as extravagant severance payments when stock prices go down. If common horse sense once again prevails, the credit crunch also offers opportunities and space to “no nonsense” companies, that just offer good products or services at a reasonable price. Therefore we wished our clients at the end of 2008 "a sound 2009".
